DESCRIPTION

How can technology be used to combat systemic violence in our communities? Join the Real Future team as we talk about the pitfalls and potential of technology trying to solve for safe cities. We’ll talk about social platforms like Nextdoor, and new solutions such as Concrn, an app that dispatches trained responders, instead of police, to crisis situations. We’ll talk with Concrn co-director Neil Shah, as well as Linda Maepa, founder of Reboot Saftey. Building tools for a safe community by organizing hackathons that address issues of violence, Reboot Safety has hosted events across the country that bring tech to bear on systemic violence. We look forward to seeing you and adding your voice to the conversation!

This is a free event in an ADA-compliant space.
