Patrick Armstrong (He/Him)
Vice President of Technology Policy and Government AffairsPatrick Armstrong is the Vice President of Technology Policy and Government Affairs. Patrick is the head of our policy advocacy efforts and collaborates with the team to develop and execute strategies that aim to create a more equitable tech sector and society. Patrick’s work sits in the Policy and Advocacy department, which is part of Kapor Enterprises Inc. (KEI).
Prior to joining the Kapor Center, Patrick worked at the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center. Patrick led policy teams in several states that passed criminal justice-related legislation, court rules, and administrative policies to improve public safety and support all people who end up in the system, including the disproportionate number of people of color who are overrepresented. He also helped launch and lead internal diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts organization-wide.
Patrick has also worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, as well as for the Brennan Center for Justice. As a student-athlete on the basketball team at the University of California, Berkeley, Patrick double majored in political science and African American studies. He earned his JD from the New York University School of Law.
Away from the office, Patrick is happiest when he’s spending quality time with friends, enjoying live jazz, or playing basketball with family.
