Make Your Voice Heard and Vote

As election day approaches with critical elections at the federal, state, and local levels, it’s crucial that we rally our communities to make their voices heard.

Join us as we mobilize to drive voter engagement, and turnout throughout our ecosystem cities: Oakland, CA, Atlanta, GA, and Detroit, MI. Let’s get to work to make every vote count.

Voting is one of the many ways you can make your voice heard. Make sure you register so you can exercise your right to vote.

If you’re not sure if you’re registered to vote, check your voter registration status here.

Mark Your Calendar

While the main date you hear about is Election Day, November 5, 2024, it is important to also be aware of other key dates leading up to Election Day that may impact your ability to vote in your state, such as voter registration deadlines, absentee ballot application deadlines, and early voting. Click below to find out what key dates to mark on your calendar!

If you live in a state other than those listed above, check the key dates for your state here.

How We’re Making an Impact

Kapor Center

We’re rallying our staff with Get Out The Vote volunteer activities and opportunities, while also working to rally voters with a direct mail campaign, sending postcards to key states to ensure every voice is heard. Stay tuned for more voter education forums including a CA Policy Deep Dive and a Get Out the Vote National Forum during National Voter Education Week.

SMASH

We’re mobilizing future leaders and their families with our SMASH alumni network through our SMASH Virtual platform and our SMASH Residential program encouraging our alumni and families nationwide to register to vote and to make an election day plan to ensure their voices will be heard.

Kapor Capital

We’re activating the Kapor Capital portfolio to offer Volunteer Time Off for their employees and to our staff to vote, making voting accessible for everyone. This empowers our employees to research, understand ballot measures, and make informed decisions fostering a culture of civic responsibility, contributing to a more robust and representative democratic process.
