Rich Riley

Rich Riley is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of the Kapor Foundation, where he leads the organization’s financial and operational strategy with a focus on sustainable growth, transparency, and infrastructure development to maximize mission-driven impact.

Rich is a familiar face within the Kapor family of organizations, having previously served as Director of Finance. In that role, he played a key role in driving strategic growth, strengthening financial systems, and ensuring sound fiscal stewardship for SMASH.

Before returning to the Foundation, Rich served as CEO and CFOO of AJUA Inc., a Kapor Capital portfolio company and SaaS-based customer experience platform headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. During his tenure, he successfully led the company to profitability, oversaw a major spin-off, and guided its expansion into five countries.

Earlier in his career, Rich held senior roles at Visa Inc., Vale S.A. in Brazil, and General Electric, where he led complex financial, operational, and strategic initiatives across global markets.

Rich holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Finance from Syracuse University.
