Kirsten Lundgren

Director of Economic and Workforce Initiatives

Kirsten Lundgren leads funding, research, partnerships focused on the intersection of AI and economic and workforce development. for Kapor Foundation. She previously founded TechHire Oakland — part of the Obama White House tech initiative to expand tech sectors and talent pipelines across 70 US cities. Prior to this, Kirsten developed and managed a $30 million portfolio of market/enterprise development programs for TechnoServe across East Africa.

She worked in international microfinance at Women’s World Banking and Trickle Up while completing graduate studies at Columbia University. Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys triathlon and backcountry adventures.
