Benjamin Todd Jealous, Venture Partner of the Kapor Center for Social Impact and former NAACP President and CEO will deliver the commencement address at the 2014 College Bound Brotherhood graduation ceremony honoring over one hundred black males graduating from high school in the Bay Area. The Brotherhood is the first network in the nation focusing explicitly on African American males and connecting them to college readiness programs and district resources. This ceremony is an annual event.

Sponsored by the College Bound Brotherhood, an initiative of the Kapor Center for Social Impact, the College Access Foundation of California, and the Marcus Foster Education Fund, the ceremony will honor the achievements of black men graduating from high school in 2014, some overcoming tremendous challenges. This is the fourth year this ceremony has taken place, with the purpose of creating a culture of higher education achievement among young men too often underrepresented in college.
