Robin Wilson (She/Her)
Chief Operations OfficerRobin Wilson brings more than fifteen years of experience leading Operations teams at the intersection of technology and social impact sectors to her role at the Kapor Center. She has held senior leadership roles at both public and private companies as well as in the non-profit sector. Her skills in strategy development, financial management, and people operations contributed to the successful acquisitions of three venture-backed organizations (Upworthy, Blip.tv, Associated Content).
Robin has spent the last several years consulting for social change companies, and her projects have included launching Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity initiatives and architecting a global “de-merger” of five organizations at the philanthropic investment firm Omidyar Network and leading an educational non-profit through their first financial audit with a clean result at CodePath.org. Prior to consulting Robin served as the Chief Operating Officer at the media company Upworthy, where she led the Finance, People, Legal, and Growth teams through 150% growth and partnered with the founders to raise millions in venture capital and ultimately sell the organization.
Outside of the office, Robin enjoys cooking, exploring the great outdoors, planning her next travel adventure, and working as a literary tutor at her local Oakland elementary school.
