Esther Tricoche

Esther Tricoche, Director of Investments oversees the fund investing vertical at Ideal where she invests in values-aligned VC funds and focuses on building a more diverse investment ecosystem. Spurred by her lived experiences and a deep drive to level the playing field, she spent a decade deploying/managing nearly $150M and most recently worked with pre-seed to Series C startups prior to joining the team.

Esther has a degree in cognitive neuroscience from Rice University and has been named as an Aspen Institute/Pahara NextGen Fellow, is part of the Schusterman Reality Network, and is a Forbes 30 under 30 (2016) alum.

She spends her free time exploring the beauty of the Bay Area, watching futuristic sci-fi, throwing (pre-pandemic) dinner parties, dabbling in design, and dreaming up the next international adventure.
