The Foundation Center will be holding a free workshop entitled “Demystifying Program Evaluation: Making Evaluation Accessible”. In understandable, everyday language, explore barriers to conducting program evaluations, learn different types of evaluation, develop decision-making tools regarding whether to conduct evaluations internally or to hire an outside consultant, and learn the basic steps toward creating your own outcomes-based evaluation. As funders are placing more emphasis on outcomes-based evaluations, a basic understanding of evaluation is important for nonprofit leaders who want to place their organizations in a stronger fundraising position. The workshop will be led by Darlene A. Hall, Ph.D. who has had extensive experience in multiple sectors – mental health, social services, youth development, teaching/research, nonprofit, philanthropy, and sports/athletics.
All are welcome, but this session is designed for nonprofit leaders with limited understanding of and comfort level with evaluation.
Date: Friday, February 22
Time: 10 am-12 pm
Location: Foundation Center, 312 Sutter St., SF
